Day 01 | Arrive in Srinagar
On arrival at Srinagar Airport, meet and greet with our representative. You will then be transferred to your hotel. After freshening up, proceed for a full day of sightseeing in Srinagar. Visit the famous Mughal Gardens – Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh, followed by a visit to the Shankaracharya Temple offering panoramic views of the city. Enjoy a serene Shikara ride on the picturesque Dal Lake and explore the local markets for shopping. Later, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 02 | Srinagar - Sonmarg - Kargil ( 205 Km 07-08 Hrs )
This morning, after breakfast, check out from the hotel in Srinagar and begin your scenic drive towards Kargil via Sonmarg (2690 meters), famously known as the "Meadow of Gold" and the iconic Zoji La Pass. En route, stop to visit the Kargil War Memorial in Dras, a tribute to the bravery of Indian soldiers. On arrival Kargil check into the hotel overnight stay.
Day 03 | Kargil - Panikhar - Parkachik - Rangdum - Pensi La - Padum ( 255 Km 08-09 Hrs )
Early morning, after breakfast, check out from the hotel in Kargil and begin your scenic journey towards Padum, the capital of Zanskar. Today’s drive takes you through the breathtaking Suru Valley, the lush green heartland of Kargil.En route, enjoy magnificent views of the Nun-Kun peaks, the Parkachik Glacier, and several unnamed glacier-covered peaks. Stop for lunch at Rangdum, a remote and peaceful village offering panoramic mountain vistas.After lunch, continue your journey over the high-altitude Pensi La Pass, the gateway to Zanskar, before finally reaching Padum. Day 04 | Padum - Karsha Monastery - Chuchik jall Nunnery - Kalachakra Temple
This morning,After breakfast, take a short drive (10 km) to Karsha Monastery, the largest Gelukpa monastery in Zanskar. Nearby, visit Chuchikjal Nunnery, home to an impressive 11-headed statue of Avalokiteshvara, believed to be 800 years old. Return to Padum for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Kalachakra Temple, dedicated to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, commemorating his 1988 Kalachakra teaching.After completing sightseeing return back to Hotel/Guest House overnight stay in Padum.
Day 05 | Padum - Zangla & Zongkhul Monastery ( 35 Km 04-05 Hrs )
This morning, after breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion from Padum. Drive approximately 35 km to Zangla, a quiet village known for its historical and spiritual significance. Explore the old and new palaces of the Zangla King and visit the serene Zangla Nunnery, offering a glimpse into monastic life in this remote region.
Continue your journey to Tongde Monastery, the second-largest Gelukpa monastery in Zanskar, beautifully set against a dramatic mountain backdrop. After the exploration, drive back to Padum,Overnight stay at the Hotel/Guest House in Padum.
Day 06 | Padum - Drang Drung Glacier - Rangdum ( 120 Km 05-06 Hrs )
This morning, after breakfast, begin your return journey from Padum to Rangdum, retracing your route through the majestic Zanskar region. En route, take time to stop and capture photos of the awe-inspiring Drang Drung Glacier, one of the largest glaciers in Ladakh.Upon arrival in Rangdum, check in to your hotel or guesthouse and enjoy the peaceful solitude and raw beauty of the high Himalayas.Overnight stay in Rangdum.
Day 07 | Rangdum - Suru Valley - Kargil ( 160 Km 06–07 Hrs)
This morning, after breakfast, check out and depart for Kargil, enjoying the scenic drive through Suru Valley once again. Day 08 | Kargil - Lamayuru - Leh ( 215 Km 06–07 Hrs )
