Day 02 | Chopta - Trek to Tungnath & Chandrashila - Chopta ( By Trek )
After an early breakfast, begin the scenic trek to Tungnath, the highest Shiva temple in the world, nestled at an altitude of 3,680 meters. Continue the trek to Chandrashila Peak (4,000 meters), which offers panoramic views of the majestic Himalayan ranges including Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Chaukhamba.After spending some time at the summit, descend back to Chopta. Enjoy the scenic journey through winding mountain roads, river valleys, and charming hill villages.En route, visit the revered Surkanda Devi Temple, located near Dhanaulti. Dedicated to Goddess Sati, the temple is believed to be the spot where her head fell when Lord Shiva was carrying her body. Perched at an altitude of around 2,757 meters (approx. 9,000 ft), the temple offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys.
