Today, on arrival at Chandigarh Airport/Railway station, meet and assist drive from Chandigarh leaving behind traffic as we head into the mountains of Himachal Pradesh. As we enter the Shimla climate will change, and we can start feeling fresh mountain air. In the evening, take a rest in a hotel and stay in Shimla.
Day 02 | Shimla - Sangla ( 230 Km 07-08 Hrs )
This morning after breakfast check out from the Shimla hotel and We will visit Narkanda, An attractive skiing destination in Shimla district also famous for Hatu Peak, Second highest in Shimla district. You will enter Kinnaur district, you will pass through the gateway of Kinnaur, and a beautiful rock cut formation welcoming adventure tourists. Deep valley will accompany us throughout the journey now. You can see many Indian army and ITBP Force settlements on this route. China border is close to Kinnaur district. Overnight stay will be in Sangla.
Day 03 | Sangla - Kinnaur Kailash - Kalpa ( 100 Km 05-06 Hrs )
This morning after breakfast, Visit Sangla, a picturesque town in Baspa Valley with snow-capped mountains and apple orchards everywhere. Chitkul is the last inhabited village near Indo Tibet China border. We will drive to RecKong Peo, the main town of Kinnaur district after visiting Chitkul. Kalpa village overlooking Kinnaur Kailash mountains. Overnight stay will be in the beautiful kalpa Village.
Day 04 | Kalpa Town - Tabo Village ( 160 Km 04-05 Hrs )
This morning after breakfast, drive Labeled as world's most treacherous roads on road signs by BRO or Border Road Organisations you can find the boards along the road and take a selfie. Roads will be winding and high with extreme valley exposure and some of the most beautiful you ever been. Keep hydration level high today as you will be gaining height today. You will be passing Nako loops, Nako Lake, Nako monastery, Pooh army base, Malling Nallah after Sumdo check post we finally enter Spiti Valley. Overnight stay will be in Tabo Village.
Day 05 | Tabo - Kaza - KYE Monastery - Kaza ( 40 Km 02 Hrs )
This morning after breakfast,check out from Tabo and drive towards Kaza, the main town of Spiti valley on the banks of Spiti River. Indian oil operates here India's highest petrol pump ASL 12,250 feet. You can only refill fuel here.After that visit Kye monastery is on top of a mountain overlooking the Spiti valley and a vast river bed. Kye monastery is the most famous monastery in Spiti Valley among tourists. Later, Kibber Village was once the highest motorable village in the world. It is famous for wildlife and amazing narrow valley hugging roads.After Kibber check into the hotel overnight stay will be in Kaza.
Day 06 | Kaza - Langza - Hikkim - Kaza ( 40 Km 01-02 Hrs )
This morning after breakfast we will drive from Kaza to Langza, famous for fossils found around the village and excellent for Astrophotography.After Langza visit Hikkim Village has the highest post office in the world. Rinchen Chhering has run it since its inception in 1983. You can buy a postcard here and post it to your friends. It comes with a stamp saying from the highest post office in the world. After the day sightseeing again back to hotel and stay in kaza.
Day 07 | Kaza - Chandra Tal ( 110 Km 04-05 Hrs )
This morning after breakfast We will drive to Losar, the last village of Spiti valley, then Kunzum Pass to Chandratal Lake. Lake is famous for its pristine beauty; it is a sacred place.The lake of the moon is located at ASL 14,100 during the summer season. On reaching Chandratal check into the camp and overnight stay.
Day 08 | Chandra tal - Batal - Chatru - Atal Tunal - Solang Valley - Manali ( 115 Km 05-06 Hrs )
This morning, after breakfast check out from the Chandratal Camp and drive towards Manali,The final long stretch from Chandratal to Manali is the most beautiful part of the Road Trip. Surrounded by Mountains, crossing glacier fed rivers at Chatru, beautiful meadows. The road on this route will be unpaved mostly and difficult to drive; we will make slow progress. It is one of the most scenic drives that will cross Atal Tunal Solang Valley, On reaching Manali check into the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 09 | Manali Local Sightseeing
This morning after breakfast, proceed for Manali local Sightseeing visit Hadimba Devi Temple, Manu Temple,Old Manali Castle and cafes,Van Vihar,Vashisht Temple,Mall road and later return to hotel overnight stay.
Day 10 | Manali - Chandigarh Departure ( 265 Km 06 Hrs )
This morning after breakfast check out from the Manali hotel and drive towards Chandigarh,Upon arrival drop at Chandigarh Airport/Railway with beautiful memories of Spiti valley tour.
